Rosbel
Hey everyone! I'm Rosbel Lebron, a first-year BBA student at Ross, originally from Miami but have to call Ann Arbor home now. Navigating college as a first-gen Dominican student wasn't always easy, but the supportive community at Ross has made all the difference. Everyone - from professors to peers - is incredibly welcoming and always willing to lend a hand, which I never took for granted.
As for academics, I'm diving deep into the world of finance, drawn specifically to real estate investment banking. I'm not afraid to explore, though – that's one of the best things about Ross! There are endless opportunities to try new things, and discover hidden passions. Speaking of clubs, I'm also involved in BlackGen Capital, Impact Initiative, Real Estate Club, Black Business Undergraduate Society, Diverse Leaders of Tomorrow, and Ross First Gen Network.
So, if you're considering Ross, let me tell you – it's more than just academics. It's a family, a launchpad, and a place where you'll discover your full potential. Don't hesitate to reach out! I'm happy to share my experiences and answer any questions you might have. Remember, if a first-gen Dominican like me can thrive here, so can you!
Where is your favorite place to eat in Ann Arbor?
When I crave something tropical, there's only one place for me: Frita Batidos. This vibrant Cuban-owned joint serves up passion fruit batidos and juicy burgers that are just full of flavor, just like family feasts back home. It's the perfect way to connect with my heritage and grab a bite with friends from campus.
