Sam Stead

I’m a proud Kiwi-American, raised in Auckland before graduating from Victoria University of Wellington with a degree in Public Policy and International Business. 

After graduation, I remained in Wellington and started my career in Deloitte’s Strategy & Operations consulting team. After 3 years in the consulting world, I pursued a passion of mine and shifted gears, moving to work for one of New Zealand’s largest political parties as their Strategy, Performance & Capability Manager. 

Long-term I knew I wanted to build a career in the private sector, with the eventual goal of leading teams and owning P&Ls. A Ross MBA presented the perfect opportunity to re-center my career on these goals, develop the skills needed to take on business leadership roles, and ultimately, build a strong US-based network from scratch. 

I’m happy to speak with you about my past experiences and time at Ross, particularly those from New Zealand, Australia, or the Pacific contemplating the big move!
