Sissie

Class of 2025

Minor: Applied Statistics

Hometown: Troy, MI

Hi everyone! My name is Sissie and I’m from Troy, Michigan (although I’m originally from Canada!). I’m glad that you are considering Ross as an option for your future endeavors and accomplishments. Picking a college can definitely be stressful and I remember my main concerns at the time were whether or not I’d find a community here at Ross & what advantages Ross had to offer in terms of my career. Right from the start, I realized that while this campus and school is very large, there are so many unique communities and groups of people that students usually have no trouble finding their home away from home, right here in Ann Arbor. We have over 3500 organizations in the entire university, and many more opportunities beyond that throughout your four years here to bond with existing friends and make new ones.

As far as resources, Ross has truly helped me make the most of both my talents and interests with the broad-based curriculum where I was able to explore a vast array of fields within business starting freshman year! It was with the help of the CDO coaches as well as my academic advisor that I was able to find the right fit for me; however, with the amount of exploration that Ross allows you to do, I’ve never felt locked into a concentration in my academic career.

Making the decision to attend school was truly one of the best I’ve made in my life. There is truly nowhere else that I feel like I’d rather be, and I have made what I know will be lifelong friendships and bonds throughout my time here as well. This institution invests so much into both your professional and personal growth, and I can definitely say I’ve improved and learned so much more than I had thought possible in my (almost) two years here. F

eel free to contact me about any questions or concerns you might have about taking this next step, or if you just want to hear more about my experiences. Forever and always, Go Blue!

Where is your favorite place to eat in Ann Arbor? My favorite meal of the day will forever be brunch, and Avalon Cafe & Kitchen does it the best!
