I came to Ross to explore a transition into consulting and tech, build a broader leadership toolkit, and push myself out of my comfort zone. What drew me in? The action-based learning philosophy (MAP was truly a highlight!), strong recruiting pipelines in tech and consulting, and a close-knit community that I felt part of even before stepping on campus. The leadership development programs, especially through the Sanger Leadership Center and Ross Leaders Academy, were instrumental in shaping how I show up today — empathetic, grounded, and still learning.
My two years at Michigan were about more than academics. Sure, I was fortunate to graduate with Dean’s List honors, but what really stayed with me were the late-night debates, the feedback sessions that stung (but helped), and the friendships that turned into family. Coming from IIT Madras, I thought I knew what rigorous academics looked like — but Ross challenged me in new ways, from systems thinking to ethical leadership to emerging tech strategy (Agentic AI was a personal favorite!).
The job search wasn’t always easy — I went through 14 final rounds before landing McKinsey. But that journey taught me a lot about resilience, patience, and trusting the process.
If you’re considering Ross and wondering whether it’s the right fit — happy to chat! Whether it’s about career transitions, recruiting, leadership development, or just life in Ann Arbor, I’d love to help.
