Future-Ready Leadership Development: The Science and Practice of Developing Leaders for a VUCA and AI-Enabled World --- This course examines the science and practice of leadership development in an era characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA), as well as the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence. Rather than focusing only on how leaders act, this course emphasizes how leadership capacity is developed across individuals, teams, organizations, and contexts. Students will engage with cutting-edge scholarship, experiential simulations, and AI-enabled tools to understand and practice the knowledge, skills, abilities, and attributes (KSAAs) required for future-ready leadership. Core themes include self-intelligence, critical thinking, communication, trust, influence, co-intelligent synergy, systems thinking, and adaptability. Students will learn how AI can serve as both a collaborator and a leadership development tool. By balancing evidence-based frameworks with applied practice, the course equips students to anticipate future challenges, design pathways for leadership development, and lead with both competence and character in complex environments.
