Loren Townes
With nearly a decade of experience in higher education, Loren has held various roles in entrepreneurship, innovation, and workforce development. He is passionate about educational leadership and fostering action-oriented, collaborative learning environments. His commitment to driving growth and creativity and his experience in human-centric design positions him as a significant catalyst for change. Currently, Loren is the Director of Entrepreneurial Services at Ann Arbor SPARK, where he supports the growth of tech startups and early-stage companies in the region. Previously, he was the Associate Director of Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation at Business+Impact within the Ross School of Business. He led the Impact Studio and guided students in developing social ventures through design and entrepreneurial programming. In addition to his leadership role, Loren is a lecturer at the Ross School of Business, teaching BA 200: Businesses and Leaders - The Positive Differences, part of the second year of the Signature Learning Experience series. Loren earned both his BSBA and MBA from Wayne State University, graduating with distinction. A committed advocate for economic development, Loren actively contributes to the local business ecosystem as a board member and the Chair of the Membership and Marketing Committee for the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber.
