Heather Byrne is the managing director of the Career Development Office at Michigan Ross, where she leads career coaching, employer relations, and operations in support of students across all Ross programs. She is passionate about building strong partnerships with students, employers, and student organizations to ensure that career development is collaborative, proactive, and focused on long-term success.
Since joining Ross in 2007, Heather has held several leadership roles, including managing director of the MBA Program and director of Student Life. Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of the student experience and a commitment to helping students grow both professionally and personally.
Before working in higher education, Heather was a professional dancer in Los Angeles, performing in film and television — an experience that continues to inform her perspective on presence, meaningful work, and professional development. She is a proud U-M alum and a serious Wolverine sports fan. Go Blue!
