Michigan Ross Comes In at No. 6, Maintains Position in the Top 10 in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Part-Time MBA Programs Rankings
The Ross School of Business Weekend MBA Program moved up one spot from last year to No. 6 in the 2026 U.S. News and World Report rankings, maintaining its position in the Top 10 since 2012.
The Michigan Ross Weekend MBA Program earned the No. 6 ranking among 246 domestic peers.
“We are pleased to see our Weekend MBA Program perform well in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings,” said S. Sriram, associate dean for graduate programs. “It speaks to the strength of our curriculum, the expertise of our faculty, and our innovative approach to provide working professionals with an education that can help accelerate their careers and prepare them to become impactful leaders.”
To determine their rankings, U.S. News and World Report surveyed business schools between fall 2025 and early 2026 to collect data using six factors: peer assessment score, part-time student ratio, part-time students total, GMAT/GRE scores, undergraduate grade point average, and work experience.
Within the overall ranking, the Michigan Ross was in the top 5 for the following ranking data factors:
- No. 1 for median quant GRE score, which includes verbal and analytical writing scores of part-time MBA students entering in fall 2025.
- No. 4 for peer score, which is determined by business school deans and directors.
- No. 4 for median writing GRE score, which incorporates the 50th percentile of GMAT scores and GRE quantitative, verbal, and analytical writing scores of part-time MBA students entering in fall 2025.
Recent WMBA graduates earned a median base salary of $137,000, and 82% reported a new position between program start and four months of graduation, demonstrating the strong return on investment of a Michigan Ross degree.
