Michigan Ross Releases 2024 Career Report: Full-Time MBA Grads Received Offers From Top Companies
The Michigan Ross Full-Time MBA Program recently released its 2024 employment data, detailing the rate at which graduates were hired and which industries they pursued.
Within three months of graduation, 85% of the Class of 2024 had received a job offer, and within six months, that number improved to 91%. The median salary for graduates was $170,000, and the median signing bonus was $30,000.
Consulting remained the top hiring industry at Michigan Ross, with consulting companies comprising 36% of total job acceptances. Top employers included McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, and Bain & Co, Inc. Financial services and technology were the second and third most popular industries, with financial services and tech companies accounting for 17.6% and 15.1% of jobs, respectively.
“We were pleased to see that job offers increased at the six-month mark, which is the end of October for Ross grads. This speaks to the opportunities the Michigan Ross network provides, the tenacity of Ross graduates, and the career support students and alums receive from Michigan Ross,” said Heather Byrne, managing director of the Career Development Office at Michigan Ross.
Over half the class went to both coasts, with 21% landing on the West Coast and 30% going to the East Coast. Twenty-one percent went to work in the New York City area, and 16% started a job in Chicago.
The Michigan Ross Full-Time MBA employment report also included the Class of 2025 internship data. Boston Consulting Group, Amazon, McKinsey & Co., Deloitte, and PwC Strategy& were the largest internship employers for those students this summer. Ross interns found roles across a wide variety of industries, including 23.5% in consulting, 22% in financial services, 15.8% in technology, 9.4% in both consumer packaged goods and healthcare, 5.3% in manufacturing, and 3.8% in energy.
