MAP just kicked off this week, and as I think about the opportunity ahead, I cannot imagine when else I would have a chance to work for an NFL organization.

The purpose of our trip was to begin our semester’s capstone action-based learning project working for Habitat for Humanity based in Atlanta, GA. The former president is a huge proponent of Habitat, and we thought it would be a nice opportunity to understand some of the roots of the business.

Today our first-year Ross MBAs are learning some specifics about how they’ll be spending a majority of their time this semester.

Recent crises and news stories, from Ebola to relatively new health insurance marketplaces, to the rising costs of healthcare, have put a sharp focus on the fact that healthcare, or in many cases, lack thereof, impacts every one of us.

When you start business school, there’s one thing people always tell you: “You need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”

We asked our 450 first-year MBA students to share their MAP experiences with us on Instagram. The result, as Businessweek said in a tweet this weekend, "was amazing."

More than 450 first-year MBAs are heading out to tackle real business challenges. They'll spend seven weeks working side-by-side with some of the top practitioners in fields such as marketing, healthcare, manufacturing, and nonprofit management.

The NCAA’s Selection Sunday may still be a few days away, but when the 2014 Ross MAP season kicks off on the morning of Monday, March 10, March Madness will have truly begun.
