Lisa (Elizabeth) Black, MBA ‘87, retired at the end of 2018 from her role with Nuveen (a TIAA company). At Nuveen, Black lead the taxable income strategic direction and investment perspectives teams. She joined TIAA in 1987 as a corporate credit analyst, where she covered paper/forest products, banks, and finance companies.
Prabhu Patil, MBA ‘02, as the CEO and President of PROLIM, was named a 2018 Small Business Supplier of the Year by Siemens USA. “We are extremely pleased and proud to be honored with this award, especially given Siemens’ wide range of high-quality suppliers, it is a tribute to all the dedicated and committed PROLIM employees,” Patil said.
Steve Mitzel, BBA ‘94, CEO of Mspark, was named a Top CEO by the Birmingham Business Journal in Alabama for companies with 100-250 employees. “I am honored to be named Top CEO for our category,” Mitzel said. “It’s an honor and a privilege to lead the amazing people at Mspark. It’s all about the team, the team, the team. Together we have transformed our culture and pushed to significantly grow Mspark and improve each and every day. I couldn’t be more proud of all our team has accomplished, and look forward to a great 2019”.
Ali Raymond, MBA ‘18, was selected as a 2019 Fellow of the New Leaders Council of New Jersey. Ali is an HR Manager currently in the Human Resources Leadership Development Program at Johnson and Johnson, having served rotations in the office of Diversity and Inclusion and Total Rewards. Ali hopes to take from NLC strategies to leverage J&J’s size for good.
Laura Frey, MBA ‘11, was named one of the Top Women in Investing in Latin American Tech by the Association for Private Capital Investment in Latin America. Frey is an impact investment professional with over ten years of experience in Latin America and Emerging Markets.
