I came to the US mainland at the age of 17 seeking excitedly new opportunities, growth, and generation progress for my family. I was born and raised in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. I decided to make a big leap from the sandy shores of my island home to the cold city of Providence, RI to study at Johnson & Wales University. After undergrad, I had diverse career that spanned over hotel operations, human resources and spent 7 years in the US Army while enjoying the immense southern hospitality of Atlanta, Georgia. My military service was the greatest foundation of my life that taught me the true essence of leadership starting as Infantryman on the front line and then pivoting to the Human Resources function. After the military, I worked at Amazon in Senior Human Resources Partner role and while there decided that I wanted more out of life and career. I chose to pursue my MBA at Ross due to the extensive experiential and action-based learning opportunities within tech and having the opportunity to complete a Master’s in Information alongside my MBA (dual degree). Ross has a very vibrant community of collaboration and support that drives us to take risks and push immense boundaries. I invite more conversation and please reach out anytime!
