Minor: Spanish and Sustainability
Hometown: The Woodlands, Texas
Hi y’all! My name is Samantha, I am a current sophomore BBA from The Woodlands, Texas concentrating in Marketing and Strategy with a double minor in Spanish and Sustainability. I always knew I wanted to study business, however, Ross has helped me discover a passion for marketing and which concentrations I may further explore. At first, I was nervous about coming to a school as big as The University of Michigan coming from a small private school in Texas, but it has been the best decision I’ve ever made! There were and continue to be many opportunities to meet people and make new friends, and I immediately felt right at home! I have not only gotten an incredible education here and many opportunities to further discover my passions and what I want to do in the future, but I’ve also made so many incredible friends and have been supported in every step of the transition from high school to college. Outside of class, I am involved in MPowered Entrepreneurship, I am a Ross BBA Peer Mentor, and I am a member of Kappa Delta sorority. I can almost always be found either in the Winter Garden or the Ross gym and an insider tip — the Ross Starbucks is the fastest on campus in my opinion.
I have had an incredible experience at Michigan and Ross so far and I am so glad I get to call this place hoMe! If y’all have any questions and concerns, please reach out, I’d be more than happy to talk about all things Michigan with you! Go Blue!
What do you enjoy doing outside of class time? Singing, traveling, trying new foods, hanging out with friends.
