Hussain Majmahal
As co-president of the Weekend MBA Student Board, our goal is to make every residency weekend count — by fostering meaningful, lasting connections beyond the classroom. From case competitions and happy hours to outdoor adventures and formal events, we create opportunities that strengthen our network for life.
Welcome to the Club

Take advantage of the variety of professional, social, and service clubs open to students across our MBA programs.

Business Leaders for Diverse Abilities (BLDA) are business leaders, from the classroom to the boardroom, that look to build community, awareness, and advocacy within the world of business for people with disabilities, people with chronic illness, and neurodivergent folks. Our mission is to increase Ross community awareness of student/staff/faculty/business professionals that identify with a disability/neurodivergence/chronic illness, through thoughtful programming, education, and events.

As the largest professional club at Ross, our primary goal is to help members develop the skills required for successful consulting careers. We conduct training, hold interview workshops, provide social opportunities with alumni, host case competitions, offer case books for case practice, and much more. While some club members have already spent time doing consulting prior to school, the majority of our members have been working in industry before business school. We understand that some have come to business school with the express intention of moving into consulting, while others have only started thinking about a consulting career - regardless of which category you fall into, the Ross Consulting Club can help you. Our ultimate aim is to increase the number of Ross students who get internships and full-time job offers in consulting.
Our mission is to provide our members with education and employment opportunities in the energy industry that enable them to become leaders of the energy transition. This includes three primary objectives: 1) To promote interest in energy among students and faculty at the Ross School of Business. 2) To provide a forum for students to learn more about opportunities in the energy industry and discuss energy-related topics. 3) To facilitate career development in traditional and renewable energy sectors by mentoring talented students and connecting energy recruiters with these knowledgeable, motivated career seekers.
To provide students at the Ross School of Business (MBA) interested in pursuing a career in the business of entertainment, media, and sports, as well as those interested in watching and playing sports, with opportunities to build and/or expand their network in the industries, learn from experienced professionals in their respective fields, understand the different functions and career paths, develop a career plan, identify and capitalize on potential employment opportunities, gather for events and provide an outlet for recreational sporting activities. Ross EMSBA is proud to be a founding member of the MBA Sports Business Alliance, a coalition of top tier business schools focused on providing sports business job opportunities to its members. Founding schools include Ross, UCLA Anderson, Duke Fuqua, and Texas McCombs.

First-Generation Investment Group (FGIG) is a student-led organization at the University of Michigan dedicated to helping first-generation and socioeconomically underrepresented students break into competitive finance careers.

We believe that drive, grit, and potential, define success. FGIG hosts weekly meetings that combine technical training, resume and behavioral prep, and case-based discussions designed to equip members with the skills needed for finance roles.

Equally as important as the education, our goal is to create a supportive community where members motivate each other, share resources and opportunities, and grow together. We are looking for members who will contribute to this mission.
