Michigan Ross Online MBA Program Secures Top 10 Spot in U.S. News & World Report’s Ranking of 2026 Best Online MBA Programs
The Ross School of Business remains a leader among the nation’s top online MBA programs, securing the No. 10 spot on U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Online MBA Programs list.
The Michigan Ross Online MBA Program earned its top 10 placement among 377 institutions nationwide.
Within the U.S. News ranking, the Michigan Ross OMBA Program was also among the top 10 schools in the country in three specialty areas, including:
- #1 “Best Online MBA Programs in Marketing”
- #3 “Best Online Finance MBA Programs”
- #8 “Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans”
U.S. News’ rankings are based on an overall score calculated from differing weighted measures in five categories: engagement, peer assessment, faculty credentials and training, student excellence, and service and technologies. A program's score for each ranking indicator is calculated using data that the program reported to U.S. News in a statistical survey and from data collected in a separate peer assessment survey.

Michigan Ross recently welcomed 170 motivated professionals from around the world to the top-ranked Online MBA Program, which represents a 142% increase in new students since the program launched in 2019. These OMBA students live and work in 30 U.S. states, with 75% based outside of Michigan. They come to Michigan Ross with undergraduate degrees in various disciplines, including business and economics, engineering, and social sciences/humanities. Their average seven years of work experience spans diverse backgrounds, including internet and software services, finance, healthcare, and the military. Additionally, 35% already hold an advanced degree.
