Career Background

John is the Founding Partner of Veradace Partners, an investment firm focusing on a niche strategy in small public companies. Prior to Veradace, for 10 years, John was the Co-President of NWQ Investment Management Company, a $30 billion AUM company. John sold NWQ to Nuveen Investments in 2017.

Prior to joining NWQ, John spent 5 years with the Investment Bank Robertson Stephens where he was first Chief Operating Officer, and then President and CEO. Robertson Stephens was founded by Michigan Ross legend, Sandy Robertson. Previously, John worked at Credit Suisse First Boston for 15 years where he held various management positions around the world including Co-Head of European Equities, Co-Head of Emerging Markets, Director of European Equity Research, and Co-Head of U.S. Institutional Sales.

John graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in economics, and received his MBA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. John serves on the board of the Fremont Group, the Bechtel family office, the board of the hedge fund ExodusPoint Partners, the finance council of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles (Los Angeles), the Executive Board of Victory Park Capital, and the University of Rochester Endowment Investment Committee. John lives in Pacific Palisades with his wife and two sons.
