Roberto Jiménez Rivera, BBA '12, was elected as the one at-large member of the Chelsea (MA) School Committee in November 2019, and sworn in on January 2, 2020. Having only recently moved to Chelsea, he and his small campaign knocked on over 4,000 doors, half of which he knocked himself, in order to get to know the community. Ultimately, he won a landslide victory and is excited to get to work on improving student learning and outcomes through a community-centered collaborative process informed by his knowledge of college access and education policy.
