Rose Potcova Szoke died at age 95 in December, 2023. Rose grew up in Monroe, MI. She received her BBA in 1950 and was one of only six women in her class. She had one professor ask why she was taking a spot in a class that should have been given to a man. Rose was a trailblazer! She had an early career in business and fashion, with positions at major retailers in the Detroit Area. Rose received a masters in Education from Buffalo State and taught fashion merchandising at a local college. She and her husband retired to New Mexico. She is missed by her family and friends and remembered as a real pioneer for women in business.
The Michigan Ross community keeps Rose, her family and friends in our thoughts.
