After getting a bachelor's degree, I found practical use of passion with numbers at EY, where I consistently delivered excellent audit service for high-profile clients. Although I managed client-portfolio from different industries, the majority were represented by commercial banks. For instance, I worked with the Capital Markets team and helped the National Bank of Uzbekistan to issue Eurobonds for the first time in the country’s history, marking a favorable change in the financial sector and the country’s economy as a whole. Even though at EY I had an opportunity to manage high-performing teams and advise CFOs on financial statements, I wanted to try something entrepreneurial, so I would be able to define a business development path. Therefore, I started to manage an accounting-advisory boutique firm Prom Audit LLC, which my business partner acquired in an almost bankrupt condition. I came to Ross to build a narrow gap in my business skill set, improve my leadership skills, and pivot into investment banking so I can drive transformational changes in the financial institution sector. Ross was an ideal program for me because of the collaborative and supportive environment and the action-based learning opportunities. I moved with my family and knew my partner and my kid would love Ann-Arbor.
