Cara Silverman

Class of 2025

While born and raised in Chicago on deep dish pizza, I’ve spent a lot of time trying pizza all over the world, but still hadn’t tried this “Detroit Style Pizza” I’d heard so much about. Fast forward to fall 2023 when I headed to Ross, I finally tried it… and it did not disappoint. My love of pizza, and really, all food, had led me to want to pursue a career in the food and beverage industry as a brand manager where I can own a well-known, household brand or own a global restaurant's brand strategy. Prior to Ross, I spent 2 years in Madison, WI working in a traditional marketing role at a Fortune500 company in their safety division. Then I moved back to Chicago to work in a media strategy and client relations role at a digital advertising agency.

Prior to submitting my application, I visited Ross and instantly knew this is where I wanted to pursue my MBA. From the school spirit, not just on football Saturdays, to the diverse community that Ross recruits, and action based learning (MAP!!!), there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. At Ross, I’m in the Marketing Club, I’m an events chair for my section, and I’m in the graduate students badminton club.  Outside of the classroom, you can find me trying new Ann Arbor restaurants, taking spin classes, playing tennis, and of course dancing on the bus on game day. Feel free to reach out with any question or to talk all things Ross and Michigan. Go Blue!
