Class of 2024

I was born and raised in Burbank, CA. Military service attracted my attention from a young age, and I set my sites on becoming a pilot after graduating from a US service academy. I attended the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY and graduated with a commission to become a US Army aviation officer in 2013. My Army career spanned over nine years, including seven moves and two deployments to Afghanistan.

In 2021 I was fortunate to return home from my second deployment in time for the birth of my daughter. Already committed to separating from the Army and pursuing an MBA, I remained unsure about what I wanted to be when I 'grew up.' My daughter's birth served as a catalyst to consider the greatest threats that she and her generation will face, and motivated me to pursue a meaningful second career than would safeguard her future. Sustainability felt like a cause worth pursuing, and I decided to seek opportunities in the automotive industry as it pivots to cleaner mobility solutions. This past summer I interned on a product strategy team at the Ford Motor Company's EV subsidiary, Model e.

Outside of school, I'm a proud husband of a Marriage and Family Therapist, full-blown girl dad, college football fanatic (Go Blue!), vinyl record collector, amateur handyman, and Birkenstock enthusiast. I feel a particularly deep sense of connection to the UM Ross veteran and military communities, and currently serve as the Co-VP for Prospective Student Relations for the UM Ross Armed Forces Association.
