Dennis Smith

After graduating with a degree in Finance from Oral Roberts University, I joined Phillips 66 in their Oklahoma office. I spent several years supervising teams, earning my CPA along the way, before relocating to Houston where I've held a number of financial analysis and corporate development roles. 

I had known for some time that I wanted to earn an MBA – not only to open new career doors in the future, but to develop and refine the tools that will make me a more meaningful contributor to strategic decisions for our business. When I began the program, my wife and I had recently welcomed twins, so relocating our family to pursue my education wasn’t exactly on the radar. Fortunately, I came across Ross’ Online MBA, designed specifically to open the door to Ross’ action-based learning curriculum and high-caliber faculty to aspiring MBAs in situations just like mine. The Online MBA afforded me the chance to live two dreams – pursue an MBA in a program I love without sacrificing my family and career priorities. It was an excellent decision and I loved every minute of the program and am grateful now to serve as an Alumni Ambassador!
