Greg Connery

Class of 2024

I was born and raised in the suburbs just north of Boston, MA. I successfully applied and secured an ROTC scholarship before attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I studied construction management. Upon graduating, I was commissioned into the US Army as an Engineer Officer. Over my 4.5-year Army career, I moved from Missouri to Savannah, GA, and to South Korea.

After my initial contract, I decided it was the best time for me to start my transition from the military. I talked with several mentors, including some Ross alumni, and became interested in obtaining my MBA. I knew I wanted a leadership position, to maintain and increase my salary, and to 'make a difference'. After reaching out to student ambassadors and the Armed Forces Association (AFA), I knew that Ross would deliver on and exceed my expectations! Through the Ross Career Development Office, I secured a summer internship with Republic Services for their leadership development program. The motto "Go Blue Go Anywhere" really applied as a northeast guy made his first trip out to San Diego, CA for the summer.

Outside of school, I enjoy attending numerous club events with my section and classmates. I've always had a NFL team, but now I am a full blown college football fanatic (Go Blue!). I also serve as a Co-VP of Corporate Relations to the AFA and volunteering for The Bus on gamedays.
