I was born and raised in Virginia. I enlisted in the Marine Corps out of high school because I wanted to serve a higher purpose. During my three Iraq tours, the Marine Corps reinforced the importance of education. So, I pursued a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University while also achieving the rank of Sergeant. My degree provided me the opportunity to attend Officer Candidate School to broaden my leadership brand. As an Officer, I served multiple roles to include working for the headquarters element at the Pentagon. This job allowed me to use artificial intelligence and machine learning to educate Marines on making better maintenance decisions. I transitioned from Active Duty to focus my next career on my interests on brand management and strategy in the entertainment space. I choose Ross for its resources that can bridge my knowledge gap into the tech and those functions and its collaborative, pay it forward culture that reminded me of my Marine Corps team building experiences.
