Prior to Ross, I worked in supply chain and operations for Walmart and a vitamins and supplements startup called Care/of Vitamins.  I decided to pursue an MBA to pivot into consulting, and I also wanted to use the time to make a lot of new friends and build a holistic knowledge of business outside of my core operations background.  Ross was a top choice for me because its reputation for the career outcomes I was looking for in consulting, its down to earth and social culture, and because I student at Michigan for my undergraduate as well (music performance + economics).  One area that I have been extremely impressed by in a way that I was not expecting was how inclusive the environment is, particularly towards partners.  I'm happy to chat about moving to Ann Arbor with a partner, pivoting into consulting from a non-consulting background, being involved with various clubs and activities, and the overall Ross experience.
