Ken Malik
Originally from India and based in southeast Michigan, I spent five years in the information security industry in data analysis, process engineering & customer management roles (most recently at a late-stage security software startup based in Israel). My experiences in cybersecurity exposed me to the day-to-day operations of companies developing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges and sparked my curiosity for learning about other companies developing technological game-changers. I decided to pursue an MBA in order to explore new industries in the technology sector, develop a network of like-minded tech enthusiasts, and obtain skills and experiences to realize my lifelong goal of starting my own tech startup.
When evaluating prospective business schools, Ross stood out as the best program for me because of its emphasis on experiential education, the overall size and quality of its network in various technology industries and how authentically collaborative and supportive its community felt. Coming to Ross was like coming home (probably because Ann Arbor is only a half-hour away from where I grew up).
Feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss admissions, the academic, recruiting & social experience at Ross, life in southeast Michigan, or my plans to visit the next US national park on my bucket list.
