Rowland Smith
I'm Rowland Smith, a dedicated professional with both business and engineering backgrounds. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University's College of Engineering, earning a Master's in Architectural Engineering and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering. At Penn State, I was heavily involved in tasks like leading the student career fair hosted by ASCE, which brought in over 100 notable companies. I also currently serve as the Vice President of the Penn State Civil & Environmental Engineering Alumni Society.
Between 2019 and 2023, I was an engineering associate at Wiss, Janney, Elstner (WJE) in New York City. One of the key projects I worked on required rappelling down the 40-story Carlyle Hotel for facade inspections and design repairs. My work has significantly influenced business growth, cost reduction, team management, and successful project completion. Now, I'm studying for my Master of Business Administration at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, focusing on Finance.
