Soumya Sen

Class of 2021

I began my professional career as a software developer in the telecommunications industry; later on I transitioned my technical skills and started working in the automotive sector. While working in various software engineer capacities and in different companies/sectors, it was quickly apparent to me that I desired to be involved more in the business leadership role, for which, obtaining a reputed MBA degree would definitely help.

Despite knowing that I wanted to get my MBA, I struggled with the idea of giving up my job for it. The Weekend MBA at Ross was clearly the perfect solution for me: it allowed the flexibility of maintaining my current professional role as well as acquire business knowledge, expand my network and obtain a top MBA degree. One of the best attributes about WMBA is that I get to complete my degree with the same cohort that I started with; this allows everyone to form lifelong relationships. Although I have only been at the program for a short time, I truly feel that I am getting the same experience as any full time MBA student would at Ross.

Having a diverse personal history of being born in India, immigrating to Canada and now living in Michigan, I have always been a seeker at heart for new experiences. It has already been an exhilarating few weeks into my MBA journey and I feel privileged to a part of the Ross community. I would be happy to speak with any prospective student to help you determine how the Weekend MBA can be best suited for you.
