Legal Aspects of Managing Human Capital --- This course covers legal topics from the perspective of managers and employees. Managers often make decisions that affect the legal rights of employees and could create liability for their company. Employees often think they have more legal protections than they actually have. As the nature of work changes, managers and employees need to be aware of the ways law facilitates employment relationships and the ways law constrains them. The topics include recruiting and hiring, preventing discrimination and harassment, balancing privacy interests and employer interests in monitoring work and the ways employees represent the company, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
