Biography
Valerie Y. Suslow's research is devoted to the economics of explicit price fixing, with a focus on the determinants of cartel duration and how particular organizational features of cartels contribute to cartel stability. Her research also is concerned with a variety of issues at the intersection of international cartel operations, international antitrust policy, and international trade policy. These include the effects of cartels on developing countries, the potential effects of international trade policies on the incentive for cartel formation, and the special antitrust status granted to export cartels.
