Evan Wildstein is a Partner at Kohlberg & Company, LLC, a leading U.S. private equity firm which acquires controlling interests in middle market companies.
Mr. Wildstein joined Kohlberg in 1994 and became a Partner in 1999. He has played an active role investing across all of the firm’s investment funds, which have raised in excess of $10 billion in capital. As a member of the investment team, Mr. Wildstein evaluates acquisition candidates, structures investments, and serves on the investment committee of Kohlberg. He has been involved in managing and monitoring many of the firms’ prior and current portfolio investments, and has served on the board of directors of numerous public and private companies. Prior to joining Kohlberg, Mr. Wildstein was a Financial Analyst at Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc.
Mr. Wildstein also serves as an officer, and on the board of directors at Youth Inc., a New York City based non-profit that supports youth based causes through a venture philanthropy model. Mr. Wildstein also serves on the board of directors of University of Michigan’s Social Venture Fund. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1993.
In his spare times he enjoys martial arts, yoga, and spending time with his family. He has been a student of meditation/contemplative practice for decades, and is also a certified meditation instructor and enjoys teaching meditation.
