Career Background

Lesli Ann Mie Agcaoili (MBA 2009) spent the majority of her career in automotive product development, including engineering as well as in design. Most recently, she was a Staff Design Quality Engineer at Tesla, working with studio designers, product engineers, and traveling around the world partnering with automotive suppliers to meet the appearance and design intent of Tesla’s expanding product line-up. She was instrumental in launching the Shanghai Gigafactory.

Prior to Tesla, Lesli Ann was a Colour and Materials Designer at BlackBerry in Canada. She spent a decade at the Ford Motor Company as a Global Color and Materials Lead Designer. Her career in product development has allowed her to combine her varied interests in design, establishing processes, organizational optimization, coaching, mentoring, and education.

In addition to volunteer opportunities with Ross, she sat on the Board of Directors for the Alumnae Association of Smith College and chaired its Nominating Committee. She is committed to helping develop opportunities for others and enjoys connecting ideas and people. When she is not “geeking” out over cars, or falling off her skateboard, Lesli Ann enjoys work as an image consultant and makeup artist helping clients develop and amplify their personal brand. She is pivoting into new territory and attending trade school for cosmetology.

Lesli Ann holds a B.A. from Smith College, a B.S. from the Art Center College of Design in transportation design, and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan focusing on corporate strategy and organizations. She rounded out her studies in fashion design at trade school and in environmental design at Parsons School of Design.
