Career Background

Amy has more than 20 years of coaching and human resources experience across the automotive, higher education, and market research sectors. She has coached leaders, executives, senior managers and their teams, and is best known for facilitating change, driving maximized individual performance, and creating and leading high-performing HR teams. A top achievement specific to coaching and facilitating is her work with the CEO to lead Michigan Ross through a complete overhaul of organization and operations. Her efforts in this regard were lauded in the book, How to Be a Positive Leader: Small Actions, Big Impact, by Jane Dutton and Gretchen M. Spreitzer.

As the Chief People Officer for Michigan Ross, Amy is responsible for creating and executing the school’s human resources strategy and streamlining and enhancing unit efforts with broader university goals and imperatives. Amy advises and coaches deans and associate deans at the university and leads organizational and cultural change initiatives to build capability and improve performance. Throughout her career, Amy has facilitated and coached others in the creation of competency development programs, leadership development tracks, and incentive programs all designed to accelerate organizational performance.

In her role with Magna Seating of America, a $4B division of the global 500 Magna International, Amy was instrumental in aligning and then galvanizing local and regional leadership through the design and implementation of a new product development organization for North America. This effort led to the team achieving $13M in savings in the first year alone. Amy’s passion for leadership and driving change is unparalleled.
