Hyun-Soo Ahn
Hyun-soo Ahn is a professor of Technology and Operations and Ford Motor Co. Director of Tauber Institute for Global Operations at the University of Michigan. He is an active researcher in supply chain management, service operations, revenue and pricing management, purchasing, and value chain innovations. His research has been funded by multiple government and private agencies, including the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy. He received multiple research awards at Ross, including the 2019 Ross Researcher of the Year award. At Ross, he teaches classes in business analytics, machine learning, statistics, and consulting methodology in the EMBA, MBA, MSCM, and BBA programs. He also teaches executive classes on business analytic and digital transformation for several companies, including ICBC and Bank of America. He has received six teaching excellence awards (voted by the graduating class). He has worked with and supervised more than 70 projects with companies and non-profit organizations. The companies include Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Cisco, FCA, Boeing, Radial, Johnson & Johnson, 3M, Safeway, General Electric, General Motors, Medtronic, Ametek, and Intel. He is the founder of Supply Chain Consulting Studio, a capstone program for the Master of Supply Chain Management students.
