Students at a club
Clubs & Involvement

At Ross, there’s no shortage of ways to get involved outside the classroom. Challenge yourself to take on a leadership position, pursue your passion in a student club, or take on the thrill of case competitions  and build meaningful connections along the way. Your time here is what you make it, so make it count!

Take the Lead

A great business without a great leader? Doesn’t happen. Leadership is at the heart of building a better world through business, which is why you’ll find many ways to sharpen your leadership skills while in the BBA program.

BBA Council
Be the voice of your classmates. This peer-elected council acts on behalf of the student body to partner with Ross leadership and promote positive change within the school.

Ross Undergraduate Student Advisory Board (RUSAB)
Have an opinion about what courses should be offered at Ross? Advocate for the future of Ross academics by joining this representative body of the BBA class.

Town Halls
Town halls are a great way to share your input directly with deans, faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as your fellow classmates. Look for town halls at least once a term.

Find Common Interests & Exceptional Connections

Explore emerging technologies in Michigan FinTech, be of service through groups like Maize and Blue Cupboard, hit the rink with Ice Hockey Club, or check out a variety of other social, sport, community, identity, or career-based groups.

The Michigan Code Academy is established for the purpose of breaking down barriers for the greater University of Michigan community to take initiative and develop technical skills through extracurricular learning. Our mission is to foster a learning community that empowers Wolverines to activate, advance, and apply practical technical skills.

Functioning as a link connecting healthcare and business, the Michigan Healthcare Business Club provides students with a distinctive business-oriented viewpoint on healthcare. Engaging with the club offers a chance to both contribute to and gain insights into the forthcoming and present trends in the healthcare sector.

Michigan Impact is a club focused on the practice, study, and development of impact investing and ESG integration. We operate on a club-wide managed fund, and plan a yearly symposium on impact investing. The Michigan Impact Investing Symposium (MIIS) is an annual conference held at the Ross School of Business and is organized by undergraduate students through the Michigan Impact club. The symposium showcases the many opportunities of impact investing and brings in distinguished members of the impact investing community to speak at the conference.

The Michigan Investment Banking Club (“MIBC”) is an undergraduate student organization at the University of Michigan. Our goal is to prepare our members for a career in investment banking and to help our members secure competitive internships or full-time Analyst positions. In order to accomplish our goals, we employ a three prong strategy, which consists of an educational lecture series, an academic year investment banking internship program, and career guidance and support.

Show What You Know

Case competitions are your chance to represent Ross and compete against the best and brightest from other B-schools. Put your leadership and academic knowledge to the test by working with a team to propose solutions for common business challenges. Case competitions are hosted around the country throughout the year. And did we mention? The winners don’t just get glory; they can earn prize money, too.

National Diversity Case Competition
This case competition brings together diverse talent who identify dynamic solutions to  real-world problems. The case competition, held annually over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, also gives students the chance to network with corporate partners in attendance.

Women’s Case Competition
Hosted by the University of Texas at Austin, all-female teams in this case competition present solutions to a variety of current challenges facing participating businesses. Women’s Case Competition is a chance for students to connect, learn, and show off their skills.

UBSLC Case Competition
The Undergraduate Business School Leadership Conference case competition, hosted by Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, gives students a platform to address real world issues while testing their analytical skills and their ability to work under pressure.
